Listed are some helpful herbs and supplements for this condition.  However, you must take care of your overall health through a physician.

 

Uterine fibroids are tumors that grow from cells forming the muscle of the uterus; they can project from the wall of the uterus into the uterine cavity. Fibroids can be as small as a pea or as large as a basketball and are almost always benign.

Dandelion Root, Milk Thistle, Scutellaria Root (known as Chinese Skullcap), and Turmeric Rhizome– Internal Purposes: These four herbs are excellent tonics that have antioxidant properties that aid the liver while detoxifying the system.

Green Tea- Internal Purposes: Green Tea boosts the immune system. The polyphenols in green tea act as antioxidants which have been shown to lower the risk of many types of malignancy by suppressing the activation of carcinogens and disease causing substances.

Red Clover and Burdock Root- Internal Purposes: Burdock Root and Red Clover are both said to be excellent blood purifiers and they cleanse and eliminate long-term impurities from the blood

 

 

Non-cancerous condition in which small lumps and cysts develop in the breasts.

Echinacea, Goldenseal, Mullein, Pau d'arco, Red Clover, Squaw Vine, and Turmeric (curcumin)- : Internal Purposes: Overall these 7 herbs accelerate the detoxification process in the whole body.   Cautions: Do not use goldenseal for more than seven days, and don't take it if you are pregnant. Check with your doctor if you have been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or glaucoma. If allergic to ragweed, use Goldenseal with caution.

Poke Root or Sage-  External Purposes: Poultices made from Poke Root or Sage may be used to relieve pain and inflammation.  Cautions: Poke Root should be taken externally only

 

 

 

 

This also includes blurred vision and irritated eyes. It is caused by looking at a screen for long periods without focusing periodically at distance objects.

Eyebright and/or Goldenseal- Internal/External Purposes: Rinsing the eyes with Eyebright tea has been useful in relieving eyestrain. To make the tea: Pour 1 pint of boiling water onto 1 teaspoon of the dried herb. Cover and leave to infuse for 1/2 hour, then strain. Soak a towel in the tea and while lying down place the towel over closed eyes. Leave the compress on for 10 to 20 minutes. Repeat as needed. Eyebright capsule is helpful in treating conjunctivitis (inflammation of the protective membrane of the eyes). Goldenseal can be used in place of Eyebright.   Cautions: Goldenseal is not to be used if you are pregnant. Goldenseal should not be taken for more than one week at a time. If you have the following conditions: history of heart disease, diabetes or glaucoma consult your physical before using the herb Goldenseal.

 

A rise in the temperature of the body; frequently a symptom of infection.

Catnip Tea, Dandelion, and Lobelia- Internal Purposes: Combining Catnip Tea, Dandelion and Lobelia and making into a tea or taking as an extract has proven beneficial for reducing fevers. Lobelia can be taken alone by taking 1/2 tsp of extract or tincture every three to four hours until the fever is gone. Should this cause an upset stomach, cut back to 1/4 tsp.  Cautions: Lobelia is not to be taken on an ongoing basis.

Elderberry Tea- Internal/External- Purposes: Drinking Elderberry Tea usually promotes heavy perspiration and sweating; thus helping in reducing fevers. Hot steam baths have also been beneficial.

Hyssop, Licorice Root, Thyme, and Yarrow Tea- Internal Purposes: Make a tea combining these four herbs and drink as needed. This will promote heavy sweating and in this way reduce the fever.  Cautions: Licorice is not to be used if you have high blood pressure. Not to be used on a daily basis for more than seven days at a time.

Blackthorn, Echinacea, Fenugreek Seed, Feverfew, Ginger, and Poke Root-Internal Purposes: These six herbs all contain beneficial properties that aid in reducing fevers.  Cautions: Feverfew is not to be use if you are pregnant.

 

 

EPILEPSY- Neurological disorder in which a person can go into seizures. A seizure occurs when there is a change in sensation, awareness, or behavior that can happen when the brain "shorts out" or has an electrical hiccup.

Alfalfa- Internal Purposes: Alfalfa is rich in vitamin K and minerals and is a natural antibiotic that helps to reduce infections.  Dosage: 2000 mg daily. Can be taken in capsule or extract form.

Black Cohosh, Hyssop, & Lobelia- Internal Purposes: Black cohosh, hyssop, & lobelia can be       helpful for epileptics due to their ability to control the central nervous system and act as a           sedative.  Dosage: Use on an alternating basis.  Cautions: If you are pregnant, do not use           Black Cohosh.
