Listed are some helpful herbs and supplements for this condition.  However, you must take care of your overall health through a physician.

 

Increased intra ocular pressure that can result in optic nerve damage and loss of sight.

Bilberry- Internal Purposes: Rich in lutein, tannins, bioflavonoids that are beneficial in preserving eyesight and preventing eye damage. The lutein content in Red Raspberry and blueberries is believed to be beneficial to good eye health

Fennel Tea, Chamomile, and Eyebright- External Purposes: Fennel Tea compresses will soothe eyes and help to reduce inflammation. Take a towel and soak it in brewed Fennel tea, lie down and place the soaked towel over your closed eyes for 10 to 15 minutes. Chamomile and Eyebright Tea can be useful in this way also and can be switched with Fennel. All herbal preparations used for treatments of the eye should be diluted with water.   Cautions: Do not use Chamomile for extended periods of time and if allergic to ragweed, do not use at all.

Ginkgo Biloba Extract, and Zinc Sulfate- Internal Purposes: Ginkgo Biloba increases the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the eye and expels toxins. Mixed with Zinc Sulfate this combination has been said to slow down progressive vision loss.

GERMAN MEASELS (Rubella)-   Another name for this disorder is 3-day measles. This is an infection that primarily targets the skin and the lymph nodes. The cause of German Measles is the rubella virus. Thankfully, due to vaccination programs, this disease is kept much more in control than was evidenced back in 1969.

Catnip Tea or Garlic Enemas- Internal Purposes: If fever should be present, drinking Catnip Tea or using Garlic Enemas can take the fever down.

Clove & Peppermint Tea- Internal Purposes: Symptomatic relief can be obtained from both Clove and Peppermint Tea.

Maitake, Shiitake, and Reishi Mushrooms- Internal Purposes: These three herbs are immune system boosters.

Goldenseal Extract/Echinacea Extract- Internal Purposes: Using alcohol-free goldenseal extract under the tongue can assist in removing bacteria and viruses, as well as ease coughing. Another method would be to get a goldenseal/echinacea extract combination readily available at any health food store. Echinacea is thought to be helpful in treating the immune system.  Dosage: 3 drops 3 x daily for children 3-10 years of age; 1 dropperful 3 x daily for children over 10 and adults. Keep the extract under the tongue for a few seconds before you swallow it. Use for 3 days   Cautions: If you are pregnant, do not use goldenseal. Also limit your use of goldenseal to 7-day treatments.

The gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped organ located beneath the liver on the right side of abdomen; its primary functions are to store and concentrate bile, and secrete bile into the small intestine during digestion.

Alfalfa- Internal Purposes: Alfalfa is a good source of minerals and vitamins that have a neutralizing effect on the intestinal tract. Also it is an excellent source of chlorophyll that is beneficial in healing. Helps to detoxify the body, especially the liver. Take 1,000 milligrams in tablet or capsule form with a glass of water twice a day for 2 days.

Peppermint- Internal Purposes: Europeans are known to use Peppermint oil capsules to cleanse the gallbladder.

Turmeric (Curcumin)- Internal   Purposes: Turmeric is an overall health tonic that is beneficial for gallbladder problems. If you feel that you may be at risk for gallbladder problems start taking Turmeric right away as it can keep you from getting further problems.

Barberry Root Bark, Catnip, Cramp Bark, Dandelion, Fennel, Ginger Root, Horsetail, Parsley, and Wild Yams- Internal Purposes: These nine herbs have beneficial properties for treating gallbladder disorders.  Cautions: Barberry is not to be use if you are pregnant.

 

Gangrene is healthy body tissue that has died and decayed due to infection, clotting, or a decrease in blood flow. Usually occurs because of critically insufficient blood supply. Two types - wet and dry.

* Butcher's Broom- Internal Purposes: Butcher's Broom can tighten up blood vessels and allow the blood to move freely uninhibited throughout the body.

* Bromelain & Turmeric- Internal Purposes: Bromelain and Turmeric (curcumin) have attributes that will contribute to cutting down on swelling and inflammation.

* Bayberry, Cayenne (capsicum) Echinacea, Ginkgo Biloba, Goldenseal, & Red Seal-Internal Purposes: These six herbs have shown beneficial properties in the treatment of gangrene.  Cautions: Do not use goldenseal for more than seven days, and don't take it if you are pregnant. Check with your doctor if you have been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or glaucoma.

 

A type of germ that lives in all of our bodies. There are different types of fungi dependent on where on the body the fungal infection is located.

Goldenseal, Bloodroot, Barberry, Oregon Grape, & Yellowroot- Internal Purposes: A phytochemical that works against fungi is called a berberine. Goldenseal contains berberine and fights against different types if fungi, including candida. Bloodroot is another herb that houses berberine and has been used to treat skin fungi and be used to reduce inflammation. Barberry, Oregon Grape, and Yellowroot round off the list of herbs that also contain berberine and that can treat fungal infections.

Pau d'arco & Goldenseal- External Purposes: To remove unsightly fungus infections of the toes or fingers, you can soak the nails in a mixture of Pau d'arco & Goldenseal. Boil a gallon of water in a pot and add six tea bags. All the water to cool to where you can bear to touch it without burning yourself and then add the insides of four Goldenseal capsules.  Dosage: Enjoy a foot soak (or hand soak) for fifteen minutes twice daily.

Wild Oregano Oil- Internal Purposes: This is a very powerful natural antibiotic that written up in studies indicating that not only does it have the capability to halt the growth of 25 germs (including staphylococcus aureas & E-coli) but it also has the ability to rid a body of parasites. This herb is rich in minerals and antioxidants and can help to eradicate even the most stubborn of fungi.
