Listed are some helpful herbs and supplements for this condition.  However, you must take care of your overall health through a physician.

 

Natural response to injury or infection. Affected area swells, reddens, becomes warm and tender, and becomes painful.

Alfalfa- Internal Purposes: Alfalfa is a popular place of origin for minerals & chlorophyll.

Aloe vera juice- Internal Purposes: The aloe vera can reduce the swelling, redness, and pain included with inflammation.

Bilberry- Internal Purposes: Flavonoids are contained in bilberry that can lessen inflammation.

Boswellia and Turmeric (curcumin)- Internal Purposes: These two herbs have been said to alleviate inflammation.

Echinacea, Ginger, Goldenseal, Pau D'arco, Red Clover, and Yucca- Internal Purposes: These six herbs make an excellent choice in diminishing inflammation. Cautions: Do not use goldenseal for more than seven days, and don't take it if you are pregnant. Check with your doctor if you have been told you are allergic to ragweed.

The inability to conceive after a year of unprotected intercourse or the inability to carry a pregnancy to term.


* Astragalus Extract- Internal Purposes: Is said to move the sperm quickly to the site of fertilization.  Cautions: If you have a fever do not use this herb.

* Damiana, Ginseng, Sarsaparilla, Saw Palmetto, and Yohimbe- Internal Purposes: These five herbs are thought to increase sexual functions in men.

* Damiana, Dong Quai, False Unicorn Root, Ginseng, Gotu Kola, Licorice Root, and Wild Yam Root- Internal Purposes: These seven herbs are thought to increase sexual functions in women.  Cautions: If you have high blood pressure do not take ginseng or licorice.

Also known as Erectile dysfunction, is the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis for satisfactory sexual intercourse regardless of the capability of ejaculation. There are various underlying causes, many of which are medically reversible

* Ashwagandha and Schizandra- Internal Purposes: These are Ayurvedic herbs, that are thought to ensure potency and fertility.

* Damiana- Internal Purposes: It is believed that this herb increases blood flow to the genital area and increases desire.

* Sarsaparilla- Internal Purposes: It is said to stimulate production of testosterone, which is thought to be helpful in restoring sexual interest and erectile function.

* Wild Yam- Internal Purposes: Contains dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), a natural steroid, is believed to enhance lovemaking.  Dosage: Take twice the recommended amount on the label for two weeks, then stop for two weeks. Repeat this cycle, taking the recommended amount on the label

* Yohimbe Bark- Internal Purposes: Mainly used as an aphrodisiac to increase libido in both men and women. It is believed that Yohimbe Bark increases blood flow to the penis and stimulates the pelvic nerve ganglia. Also believed to enhance the quality and staying power of erections. Cautions: If you have high blood pressure do not take this.

* Dong quai, Gotu Kola, Hydrangea Root, Pygeum, Saw Palmetto, and/or Ginseng-  Internal Purposes: These herbs all have beneficial properties that may help with this problem.

A disorder of digestive function characterized by discomfort or heartburn or nausea.

Alfalfa- Internal Purposes: Is rich in Vitamin K and minerals. Comes in liquid form or capsules.

Aloe vera- Internal Purposes: Aloe Vera is very soothing and beneficial in treating heartburn and other gastrointestinal problems. Dosage: 1/4 cup of aloe vera juice on an empty stomach twice daily, in morning and at night.

Anise seeds- Internal Purposes: These seeds are useful in eliminating a sour stomach. These seeds can be ground and sprinkled on food or you can chew them.

Catnip, Chamomile, Fennel, Fenugreek, Goldenseal, Papaya, and Peppermint- Internal Purposes: These seven herbs all contain properties that help to relieve indigestion. Cautions: Do not use goldenseal for more than seven days, and don't take it if you are pregnant. Check with your doctor if you have been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or glaucoma. If allergic to ragweed, use Goldenseal with caution. Do not use Chamomile for extended periods of time and if allergic to ragweed, do not use at all.

Ginger- Internal Purposes: Helps to alleviate nausea

Parsley- Internal Purposes: The sprigs from the fresh parsley or 1/4 tsp of dried parsley can be taken with a glass of warm water to alleviating indigestion.

Surgical removal of the uterus

Anise, Dong Quai, Fennel, Fenugreek, Ginseng, Licorice, Red Clover, Sage, Suma, and Wild Yam- Internal Purposes: This wide gathering of herbs may replenish natural estrogen levels.  Cautions: If you have seizure disorders, avoid sage.

Menocum-  Internal Purposes: A combination of beneficial herbs, vitamins, and minerals can be found in Menocum which is an herbal menopause product.

Black Cohosh, Black Haw, Blue Cohosh, Dandelion Root, Lady's mantle (yarrow), Milk Thistle, & Pau D'arco- Internal Purposes: These herbs may ease indications of ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids.

St. John's Wort-  Internal Purposes: There have been many articles written on the benefits of using St. John's Wort to treat depression.
