Listed are some helpful herbs and supplements for this condition.  However, you must take care of your overall health through a physician.

 

Rock-like substances that form in the kidneys of some people. They can cause blockage of the urinary tract, which in turn can cause cystitis.

Aloe vera juice- Internal Purposes: Can help reduce the size of a stone while having an acute attack and aids in preventing stone formation.

Ginkgo Biloba and Goldenseal- Internal Purposes: Both these herbs are antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties. They also increase circulation to the Kidneys. These herbs are taken in extract form.  Cautions: Do not use goldenseal for more than seven days, and don't take it if you are pregnant. Check with your doctor if you have been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or glaucoma. If allergic to ragweed, use Goldenseal with caution.

Lobelia Tincture and Wild Yam Tincture- Internal Purposes: To make a potion with these herbs that will reduce pain, soothe ureters, and speed up the passing of stones perform the following: In a glass of warm water drop 3 to 4 drops of Lobelia Tincture and 15 drops of Wild Yam. Take small sips of this mixture throughout the day.

Marshmallow Root Tea- Internal Purposes: Drinking this tea daily is said to cleanse the kidneys and pass kidney stones. Dosage: 1 quart daily

Uva Ursi- Internal Purposes: Promotes excretion of fluids thus reducing excess bloating and pain.

Cleavers, Gravel Root, Horsetail, Juniper Berries &  Pipsissewa (also known as Prince's Pine)- Internal Purposes: These five herbs contain properties that help to eliminate kidney stones.

A disorder where the kidney is no longer efficient at removing wastes from the body, keep body chemicals in balance, or stabilize the amount of water balance that should be maintained.

Dandelion- Internal Purposes: This herb can help the kidneys eliminate waste products. It may also be helpful in treating nephritis.

Cranberries- Internal Purposes: The benefits of cranberries have long been told by grandmothers to their grandchildren that cranberry juice will help to clear up urinary tract infections. Reports have stated that they also acidify the urine, remove bacteria that has built up, and fosters healing of the bladder.  Dosage: 8 oz cranberry juice 3 x daily. Pure, unsweetened juice is the only one you should use (available at health food stores. Substitutes will contain sugar which is not beneficial. If you can't get the juice, you can always get capsules instead.

Hydrangea & Uva Ursi- Internal Purposes: These two herbs can remove excess water from the body. One of the best first steps to take in cleaning the urinary tract and keeping it that way is to literally use diuretics to flush the urinary tract. This should assist the urinary tract from harboring harmful deposits of calcium or other mineral salts from being able to settle

Goldenrod Tea, Juniper Berries, Marshmallow Root, Nettle, Parsley, Red Clover, and Watermelon Seed Tea- Internal Purposes: These seven herbs may also be helpful for kidney disorders.

Allergies, pinkeye, fatigue, strain on the eyes, and infection may all contribute to eyes feeling tired or itchy. Eyes need plenty of oxygen, also.

THERE ARE NO LISTED HELPFUL HERBS AND SUPPLEMENTS FOR THIS CONDITION

Yellowing of the skin and eyes that is caused by too much bilirubin in the blood.

Burdock Root and Red Clover- Internal Purposes: These two herbs are known as blood purifiers and are beneficial in cleansing the blood.

Celandine, Chaparral, and Dandelion-  Internal Purposes: These three herbs made into tea are used as blood purifiers and have a stimulating and cleansing effect on the liver.

Silymarin (milk thistle extract)- Internal Purposes: Silymarin is a bioflavonoid complex contained in the herb milk thistle. Silymarin is a antioxidant that regenerates injured liver cells. Liv-R-Actin from Nature's Plus contains Silymarin.

Doctors tend to see as a common ailment. It has been reported that one in five adults will suffer from this while only about half of them seek help from the doctor for it. IBS can also be known as intestinal neurosis, mucous colitis, spastic colitis, or spastic colon

Silymarin (milk thistle extract)- Internal Purposes: People would be wise to not only treat IBS but also their liver and their digestive tract with silymarin. As an alternative, licorice can be used. You can also choose burdock root and red clover which have been reported to be helpful in cleansing the blood and the liver as well.  Cautions: Licorice may elevate blood pressure. Only use this herb for a seven-day stretch. If you have high blood pressure already, do not use licorice.

Alfalfa- Internal Purposes: In order to build intestinal flora for keeping the digestive system in order, vitamin K and chlorophyll are needed which can be obtained from alfalfa. Either herb can be taken as a liquid or in tablet form.

Aloe vera- Internal Purposes: Aloe vera can be useful in restoring the digestive tract. The colon walls will get cleaned of an overabundance of mucous and inhibit food reactions.  Dosage: 1/2 cup 3 x daily on an empty stomach

Peppermint- Internal  Purposes: This herb may relief gas and help to digest food better and also in healing. Dosage: 1/2 cup of aloe vera juice 3 x daily
